Day 15: Rome
Today we go to Rome! The first drive was 3 hours, which I slept the whole time. I got a lasagne at the servo and prayed for the best. The next drive was 1.5hours and we made it to Vatican City. We did a 2 hour walking tour through the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. It was the busiest apparently its ever been (sardine city), and I thoroughly apologise to every person I was squashed against who witnessed all my phlegmy coughing (breathing, who?). That night we were suppose to do a Rome by night tour but it got cancelled due to rain so we just went back to our cabins in the campsite (its in the woods). We had dinner at the campsite restaurant and bought a €10 pizza. We also bought I♡Roma shirts for €5 for the I♡Roma Party on at the campsite bar. The squad and I (yeah) got some polaroids in our cute shirts, then got everyone to sign them (really good memory idea). I chose not to drink that night, but still tried to have a good time with the others until 1am (solid for a sick gal).

Day 16: Rome
When in Roommmeee! Today after breakfast we took the train into Rome city. We started off seeing the Spanish stairs which were under constructions and I tried some cannoli. Once we were in the city, we saw the Fountain de Trevi, Pantheon and had Alfredo pasta for lunch. After lunch we went for a half hour to the Colosseum, where we did a walking tour of the Colosseum and Rome Ruins. We headed back to the campsite and I skipped dinner as I wasnt feeling real good (what?! really!?) and went to bed at 7pm. I woke up 1t 10:30pm and found everyone at the bar. I decided to collect my laundry from the laundry lady but she didnt have it. I then searched for the other contiki girl who I shared the load with (cheaper option) and she didnt have it either (laundry thief?). I gave up and went to bed again.

Day 17: Rome/Pompeii
This morning I went hunting for my laundry again, and finally found it with the Laundry lady (is she okay?) However I was late to the bus by 30mins but luckily so was the tour manager so they didnt leave without me (they would have). It was a 2.5hours bus drive to Pompeii and then did a guided tour which was pretty cool (yay, learning). I had a gourmet lunch in Pompeii, which was stone cold carrots and beans in a pool of olive oil (delicious, nutritious). After Pompeii we drove for another 3 hours then a service stop, then more driving to the dock. We said our goodbyes to Joao, our driver, as we didnt need him while in Greece. We then boarded the overnight ferry to Greece!
